Transport

Flying is obviously the best way to get to Turkey from Denmark as the journey takes three days by train and you would have to drive 3,000 km to the Turkish border and then spend another day getting to the south of the country.
Increasing interest in Turkey over the last few years has meant that flights are improving all the time. If you are heading for the Alanya area you can fly from Istanbul to Antalya, after which it is about 130 km to Alanya. It is also possible to take a charter flight straight from Denmark to Antalya and many fly from Hamburg or Berlin. (Please see under “Links”).
When you have arrived in Turkey, transport is cheap by bus, dolmus (a cross between a minibus and a taxi), taxi or train.
All the major car hire companies are represented in Turkey, and when you arrive at Antalya airport the idea of hiring car does immediately suggest itself.
Another possibility is to take a taxi to Alanya – you should be able to negotiate the fare to less that EUR 60 each way.
